Overlay Types
The chemistries of the alloy powders used largely determines the quality of the finished wear plate. Subsequently, the quality of the ingredients that make up the powder chemistry, is also directly correlated with the wear ability of the overlain plate. Part of Trimay's quality policy is to select only the finest ingredients that contribute to the overall durability and wear ability of finished products. There are four types of overlays to choose, each named according to the primary abrasion-resistant carbide in the formula:
